## Guides

- [How to Get a Clear Renovation Quotation in Malaysia](https://tukangman.com/guides/how-to-get-a-clear-renovation-quotation): A clear renovation quotation lists the scope of work, the materials, the price for each part, the schedule, the payment stages and the warranty. Give every contractor the same written brief so the quotations can be compared fairly.
- [Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Contractor](https://tukangman.com/guides/questions-to-ask-before-hiring-a-contractor): Before hiring a contractor, ask about similar past jobs, relevant registration, who will do the work, the schedule, the payment stages, the warranty and how problems are handled. Ask for the answers in writing.
- [How to Compare Contractor Quotations Fairly](https://tukangman.com/guides/how-to-compare-contractor-quotations): To compare contractor quotations fairly, line them up by scope, materials, schedule, payment stages and warranty. Two prices only compare if they cover the same work, so ask each contractor to fill any gaps.
- [How to Prepare for a Contractor Site Visit](https://tukangman.com/guides/preparing-for-a-contractor-site-visit): Before a contractor visits, have photos, rough measurements, access arrangements and any building rules ready, and write down your questions. A prepared visit leads to a more accurate quotation.
