Using TukangMan
What is TukangMan.com?
TukangMan.com is a Malaysian online platform that connects homeowners with contractors for home repairs, renovation and installation work in Klang Valley and Ipoh. You choose a service and a contractor, then send your request on WhatsApp.
How does TukangMan work?
There are three steps. Choose a service from the list, choose a contractor in your area, then fill in a short form about your property. TukangMan opens WhatsApp with your request written out, and you press send.
Do I need an account to use TukangMan?
No. You do not need to sign up or log in. Your request goes from your phone to the contractor through WhatsApp.
Does TukangMan cost anything to use?
Sending a request through the TukangMan app does not require payment or sign-up. The price of the work is agreed directly between you and the contractor.
Which areas does TukangMan cover?
Klang Valley, including Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Jaya and Putrajaya, and Ipoh in Perak.
Which services can I find?
More than one hundred services, including plumbing, electrical, air conditioner, painting, waterproofing, roofing, tiling, kitchen cabinet, flooring and pest control. Use the search box in the app to find a service.
Contractors and Quotations
Does TukangMan handle payment?
No. TukangMan introduces you to a contractor. You agree the scope, price, schedule and payment terms directly with the contractor.
Are the contractors on TukangMan guaranteed?
No. TukangMan lists contractors and connects you, but does not guarantee any contractor or their work. Ask for a written quotation, past work and references before you hire.
How do I choose a contractor?
Compare more than one quotation, ask for photos of similar past work, and for larger works ask whether the contractor is registered with CIDB and at what grade. See the guides on this site for a checklist.
What should I include in my request?
Your area, the type of property, the work area, whether there is a lift, and a short description with photos if you have them. The form in the app asks for these.
For Contractors
How do I join TukangMan as a contractor?
Open the application form, enter your business details, choose the services you offer and where you work, then submit. Our team reviews every application and contacts you on WhatsApp. Once it is approved, you are listed.
What information do contractors provide?
Business or trading name, contact name, WhatsApp number, email address, services offered, region (Klang Valley or Ipoh) and years of experience. A CIDB registration number and a short description are optional.
Can I change or remove my listing?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with your business name or application reference and we will update or remove it.
Privacy
Does TukangMan store my request details?
No. Your request is written in your browser and opened in WhatsApp. The details you type are not saved on TukangMan servers.
What happens to a contractor application?
It is stored on the TukangMan server so the team can review it and contact the contractor. If approved, the business name, WhatsApp number, region and services are shown to homeowners. A contractor can ask for the application or listing to be changed or deleted at any time.
Does TukangMan use cookies or trackers?
The public pages and the app do not set cookies and do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
